14,000 ft. Above
"Full wall locker jumps include about 60-70lbs of gear. This means after jocking up and being inspected by jump masters, you have an awkwardly heavy 200m walk to the back of the airplane. The process that follows is a very strict routine, last minute safety checks before you leave the aircraft at 14,00ft. Jumping into complete darkness you have to be sure you have a stable flight, pull, and be safe under canopy so that you and your team can land safely together in the drop zone.
But none of that was on my mind the second I picked up Travis’s flag before the jump. Jocking up and walking to the airplanes I felt weightless, only thinking about what I carried. I could only imagine what he would be doing if he was by my side. Most likely screaming in my ear amping me up to jump out a perfectly good airplane at night. A lot went through my mind, I thought about how much I missed him, how much I love him, and how I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. As I stood on the ramp of the airplane, looking into complete darkness, I felt Travis looking over my shoulder as amped as ever to take that jump with me. I love you Trav" - Drew Wiss
